There are a variety of different types of braces we can offer you to meet your orthodontic needs. Here is a summary of the options we offer.
Traditional Metal BracesTraditional metal braces are the most common type of braces you will see but, don’t worry, they are more comfortable today than ever before. Traditional braces are made of high-grade stainless steel and other alloys. They straighten your teeth using prescription slot mechanics and an archwire design. If you want to jazz them up a bit then you have the option of adding colored elastics, known as rubber ligatures, for a more unique and colorful smile.
Ceramic BracesYou might think that having braces as an adult or older teenager would be a bit embarrassing so this is why we offer you other options such as ceramic braces. Ceramic braces are made of clear or translucent materials and are less visible on your teeth than metal braces. But it is important to remember that, while ceramic braces are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than their metal counterparts. For these reasons, ceramic braces tend to be used more on upper front teeth than on lower teeth. The ceramic brackets used in our practice are designed and patented by Dr. Feldman and are designed for speed and ease of maintaining oral hygiene.
Invisible/Clear Orthodontic Aligners (Invisalign)We are a leading provider of Invisalign so if you are interested in having this cutting edge treatment, look no further. Invisalign utilizes a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you are wearing an Invisalign aligner because it is invisible and, because they are removable, you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Additionally, brushing and flossing are much easier. Please visit our Invisalign page to learn more about this amazing treatment.
Gold BracesIf you want a bit more bling on your brace then you could opt for gold braces. Gold braces are similar to traditional metal braces in many ways. They are made of stainless steel, but are uniquely coated in gold. The gold coating may be considered a more cosmetic option than traditional metal braces, and the cost of gold braces is surprisingly comparable to most clear braces.
